The floating feast
Toast and look through the dark ruby-liked wine, illuminating your eyes hard to open. It turns out to be the bright Australian sunshine 5,600 kilometers far away; take a sip of the SHIRAZ in the glass, the rich wine based on the plump grapes that grow from the fertile soil of the southern hemisphere comes vivid in front. When wine tasting becomes a lifestyle full of history and culture, what kind of design can create such responding desired spatial experience?
The Delicate dialogue with wine culture
This private guesthouse hidden in the alleys of Daan Road is not spacious, but its ceiling height is 6.4 meters. The black facade door on the street, using two different coatings in order to depict the texture of vineyard soil, which is exactly the same quiet sense as the European street style; and the hanging branches decorated with rich fruits and moss, with golden streamer in the background, the identity and status of the brand is clearly self-evident. Entering through the door, the contemporary aesthetic concerto of the Vineyard begins. The whole space revolves mainly around logs, symbolizing the soul of wine aroma ─ ─ oak barrels.
The patchwork of herringbone pattern floor brings sense of elegant to the space; the bar area is also covered with natural solid wood leather, the elegant and noble atmosphere reveal further through the molding. The display cabinet extend into the ceiling is concerto from the deep iron, which not only continues the first impression of the facade, but also tells people's respect to the nature. In order to complete a strong sense of dimension and visual extension, light- gray painting used as the background to highlight the towering dark iron cabinet, and the gray glass and painting are used to create tone on tone layers. Finally, a row of horizontal wooden drawer pays tribute to the red wine wooden box, and adds the finishing touch to the huge display cabinet. It is worth mentioning that the display cabinet and the second floor staircase connect the cabinet body. Provence travertine is specially selected as the material, in an attempt to bring out the richness through its texture. At the same time, the natural holes formed on the surface due to weathering. We can’t help but to believe that wine brewing is a landscape of dialogue.
The virtual light and shadow variate by steps
Look to the ceiling, there are large and small spheres hang in the air like a bright moon. Different color and projection directions are used between the two, and the small circle is deliberately eccentric. Not only can you see the defect while at different heights and positions. The change is more interesting when it reflected on the glass in the second floor. In the meantime, the display cabinet that run through the entire space also extend to the second floor through the reflection the glass, just like the illusion of two display cabinets, which instantly enlarges the scale of the space.
Stepping up the stairs, there are square hollows on the left that come into first sight, which allows people to have seemingly non-existent vision during the journey, thus generating a kind of expectation and arousing curiosity in the vagueness. Wine tasting area comes next, the back wall of display section on the right is specially treated with acrylic backlight; not only creates a homogeneous light source for the wine tasting area, but also creates a blurred view of the window. The mirror on the opposite wall makes people feel dizzy like being in a wine gallery.
If you look down from the second floor, the entrance window displays the aesthetics of wabi-sabi feeling the natural changes. The black steel mesh is not only a platform but also a support structure. The branches and trunks that bloom with their vitality seem to follow the steel mesh. At the same time, the steel mesh allows the window to penetrate in different directions. It is the horizontal penetration between indoor and outdoor, which makes it possible to borrow the scenery from each other while giving a sweeping view. In addition, the vertical penetration allows light and shadow to be reflected freely on the arch, makes a sense full of reverie.
Conflict between colors and shapes
Of course, you must have noticed that the Turkish blue and gold in the space, the two color systems that seem to conflict with the log and dark iron, it become harmonious existence in the space through the use of proportionality. Another physical conflict based on fruit circles, ceiling circles, vertical lines, horizontal lines, and herringbone diagonal lines with more floors... and even when light and shadow are superimposed in different space. Shadows, diffuse shadows, arc-shaped shadows, even wood grain and stone shadows... and so on, the wonderful spatial lines produced by different designs are what makes this space intriguing.
Implant memory into space
Jean Baudrillard, the French philosopher believes that we are used to living in a world controlled by experience and stimulation; the Jiu Yi interior design Director Cheng further believes that: unlike residential buildings, the commercial space design that occasionally visits shall be more dramatic. Inevitably, only when people have a memory of the space and the touch the image of the past in their hearts, can people have a connection with the brand while people have feelings for this space.
Therefore, whether it is the flow line, the lighting layout, the landscaping, or even the contrast between colors and shapes. What kind of feeling should be brought in picture, where the dramatic effect should fall, and what kind of impact should cause. The abstract feeling is actually through each delicate design, so that people can have a memory of the space and can tell the unique DNA of the brand.
Jiu Yi interior design has always been proud being the translator. Implanting brand vitality into the space is an organic and dynamic process, and it is the destiny of Jiu Yi to create such flow of spiritual feasts in this process.
